OK, got the problem solved. Painted out the whole bad section and put in sea holly instead. Good texture, unusual form, calm color so doesn't compete with dahlias, etc. So now I have to finish painting dahlias, fine tune everything and add a goldfinch somewhere. This will probably be my last mural post until it's all done. Which has to happen on Friday. Whew.

Congratulations on finishing this glorious creation, Laura! I'm in awe of your talent and have loving watching the progress. Thank you for sharing it here. :-)

Excellent choice with the sea holly. It's a nice color balance. Almost there, luv. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Your mural is making me feel very guilty about my garden, which I have entirely neglected this spring. I was looking at the photos of your own garden, and it is also just spectacular, L. Now I wish you would come and (1) paint a mural in my house and (2) redo my entire yard. Ok?

Hi Laura-
This mural is so beautiful. I would love to have my flower garden look like your mural. I will try to do it but with Ohio appropriate flowers.
Hugs
Annie
