A lot will come out over time but the truth has been out there for a long time as well but that doesn't give you what you want so this dance just goes on and on.

Thank you, thank you for the link, Laura. I do love the Pentel Color brushes--even though not lightfast-- but I would love finer lines, too, so I ordered the Akashiya Sai from JetPens right after reading this.

Gorgeous portrait, so fun and colorful. I have never heard of these brushes before so I thank you for the info. Something to add to my birthday list!!!

Laura,

I am loving the deer in watercolor and you seem to have mastered wet on wet famously-as if there is a doubt my dear! I love the Sai brushes overall I think from your description, they would suit my style best. I like the Pentel drawing of the pen best because of the subtle variations. I enjoy the fact that you experiment with so many techniques and brushes, your studio must be full of goodies!

On a side note, I do have a bit of carpal tunnel in my drawing hand but the problem we believe exists from the pressure of what we think is a lipoma just above my elbow where I rest my arm. I am to see a specialist this week and hopeful schedule to have it removed. It seems to run in my family.

Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes and yes, I am still on vacation in my mind and am not ready to come back down to earth. XOX Fondly, M

What a lovely post of potted information! I have one of those brush-pens that holds water in the body; I love it for brushing over my Aquarelle pencils and sometimes use it with water colour paints. Now, of course, I want to try these!

Thank you, kind commenters! Robyn, I own all the pens. Oops. Katherine, Pitt pens don't work well with water. Thanks for the mention, by the way!
