One of my ongoing projects for this year is to get better at drawing faces. I'm aiming for specificity of feature and expression without going into obsessive detail. Here's today's sketch, one of a series that is recorded in my Cafe Drawings album:
Starting this week, a friend and I are going to hire a model so I can do head drawings and she can do the figure. (I'm sure I'll do the figure, too.) It'll be fun for me to see what develops---and I'll record the steps along the way here.
Laura,
It is wonderful to see your gifts and talents put to such grat use! Your drawings are really special.
Happy to see your life flourishing so well.

All I can say is my goodness but you're talented! I found my way here through your comment on my blog (and thank you very much). I love all your drawings but I'm very partial to House, Solterra. I can see why you drew it. The real house can't be any more lovely then your drawing of it. And your drawings of the sculptures are great. I certainly makes me regret that I wasn't drawing when I lived in NY. And I'm adding a link to here on my blog right now!
