Bearded man bares all!

Another week, another figure drawing session, so here you go: two two-minute sketches, one twenty- minute and one half-hour one. (This time I forgot my conte crayon. It's always something)   :

White pup dog and accoutrements

I found this wonderful drawing tool the other day, a *Sharpie Poster-Paint pen with white ink, so that when I get tired of making green marks on white paper I can, well, you get the idea.

I bet you wish YOUR doggie had a sock frog toy.

* this pen is water-based so it doesn't have that obnoxious Sharpie smell.

It's not that easy being green

I'm the victim of my own schemes, let me be the first to say it. Scheme One: paint only/mostly in greens during currently self-inflicted Green Study Program (hereinafter referred to as Gasp.) Scheme Two: do weekly cafe sketches throughout 2005. Result: the Martians, apparently, have landed at my local diner and have discovered two over easy with a side of hashbrowns. Don't worry, they come in peace.

Up the creek with only a pencil

You may ask yourself, as I did, how I ended up with only a pencil last night at the life drawing hour. No brushes, no washes, no ink. With no restraints and no rivals, my bloodhound of a pencil line went everywhere, sniffed all surfaces, squeezed into corners, meandered and leapt  .  And left  doggie tracks everywhere.
