Made a quick trip with younger daughter C to see my parents before she leaves for junior year abroad in Sweden and Russia. On the road all day, but returned with gratitude that my mother is healing and that my father is doing as well as can be expected in the nursing home. He misses my mother terribly.
I will post drawings of my two daughters very soon. I have to draw them first.
Laura, I've been lurking in your Archives when I really should be doing other things. Just wanted to say I am really moved by you beautiful sketches of your parents- of course I'm enjoying everything, but these are special.

I am so glad to hear that your mother is doing better. Sending her continuous healing vibes. She is so lucky to have you as a daughter, as is your father. These drawings are so lovely and a testament to your devotion to them. You are such a remarkable human being, L, and you never fail to amaze me.
Hugs and love! xoxo~~~

These are beautiful. So good to hear that you mom is feeling better. And I'm really looking forward to drawings of you kids. You should have a album just of family drawings.

Thank you, Linda. I've drawn them lots of times, of course, and even recently, but the recent ones didn't turn out all that well. I am determined to draw C before she leaves for Sweden. K lives in our town, so it is easier with her. I've thought on and off of doing a self-portrait and will tackle that one day soon.
