Bonjour les amis! Paris is warm, sunny and bright and I am ecstatic! In spite of jetlag, I've managed to get some drawing done and I want to draw the whole city, from top to bottom. Well, at least the 6th and 7th arrondissements;D. I am a regular visitor here, but I've never been so into drawing as I am now, so it's a different world. Armed with my 8bs and my paint tins, I'm wild-eyed and bushy-tailed! En route:
At lunch, cafe-style:
The Fontaine des Quatres Points Cardinaux, Church of St. Sulpice:
Using my husband's laptop, so I can't tell much about the quality of the images you're seeing. I hope they're ok.
So that's the report from Paris today. Tomorrow we take the train to Chartres for the day. See you then!
Now that's impressive. The fountain is something else.

Such amazing drawings! You are incredible, dear L. The fountain remained vivid in my memory when I first caught a sight of it yesterday. Thank you for posting and for sharing your experiences.

Thank you, thank you for your comments! It is fun to be able to post sketches on the run. My husband is to thank for helping me with all of this. Chuck, he reads and then goes out for short walks while I'm drawing. Luckily, this isn't the first time he's seen Paris, so he can enjoy taking it in a slower way this time.

I can feel the sun on my face and the buttery croissant in my mouth. Your fountain is lyrical and splashy. Love it. thanks so much for bringing paris to us.

It looks wonderful, what a good time of year to take a break in Paris. Wish I could join you for dejeuner at the Cafe de la Croix Rouge! I don't think I'd see the whole 6 and 7th arondisments because I could spend half the day just drawing in the cafe over coffee and croissants.
