It is time to say goodbye to the frozen north. What better way than to go back to Aux Truffes, the first restaurant we visited on this little trip? Tonight the server said to my husband as he held up our main course so I could sketch the hors d'oeuvres plate: 'We are lucky that madame did not choose the eight-course meal.'
Laura - you should have gone back the next night - got the sketchbook out and then ordered the eight course meal - and watched the waiter's face!
You are brave doing colour studies in the restaurant. You've inspired me to have a go!

Thank you, everyone! We had the most fun on this trip! I just wish I didn't live so far from crosscountry skiing weather and terrain. Now I want to do it all the time! That would also help diminish the couple of extra pounds I've added to the torso, what with foie gras, chocolate, sausages and beer ;D.

Wow. Now I know what it feels like to be Wally and be last to the table. All the ggod stuff is gone except that wonderful desert. Loved the combination close up and wide angle.
