My friend V came over today and became absorbed in a book she was reading on parties in western Europe. Since parties are related to food and dining, I thought this drawing of V could count toward the 29 I need for the February Food Event.
By the way, the title of the book she's reading here is 'The West European Party System; Oxford Readings in Politics and Government.' Those political fundraising parties are so tedious, don't you find?
V is a PhD student at one of our best universities and is also the author of a fascinating and erudite blog on the art of perfume.
ahh, the lovely V. Drawn by Lovely Laura. xoxo

Heh, I agree it was a lame joke. And I think you're right about the effect here of the interiors study. I'm pretty pleased to see some good results from this insane thing I've set for myself to do this year. Glad you're feeling better, Walt.

Even though the food connection was a little too much too, um, swallow, in my pinion the confident placement of V in three-dimensional space owes a lot to January's assignment. Likenesses you've always nailed, but the solidity of the rest of her is kinda new, I think.
