And moreover, où vais-je? Who am I, I ask. And will someone please tell me where I'm going. I'm all over the place with my art mediums. I start off this month all crayony and bright and I end up all watercolory and washy. I didn't mean to! Zese zings, zay hahppen. ( Hope you don't mind me practicing my French. October* is just around the corner ;D.)
So here's this morning. A few things arranged in a most unconnected way. I was sleepy when I arranged them on my table. C'est dommage, mais bon.
To scroll down, svp.
Pigma micron pen and watercolor, natch.
*I'll be in Paris for all of October. Oui, c'est vrai.
your sketches are lovely, I can't believe I've only just found my way to your blog.
I thought I'd tell you, because I think it's sweet and you might too: when I was younger, my parents bought a boat and named it the Lauraline, because my name is Lauren and my little sister's name is Caroline.
They're going to do a double-take when they see your blog on my blogroll :)

Et merci beaucoup, les amis, for all the great comments! Tara, I'm so sorry that I'll miss you in Paris. Pegs, between you and Marly, we're all going to learn a lot around here! (Yes, that's a tea strainer.) Linda M, you always make me smile. Bonny, Terri, Cin, Linda C, Teri, Susan, Lin, Jana, encore merci---and Anthony, how wonderful to see you here. Come back, won't you?

I love the drippy luminosity of watercor. Some of these new sketches look almost photographic in thumbnail view, but are wonderously and surprisingly loose close up. I can't wait to see what you choose to draw in Paris.
