I intend to follow, loosely, the original order of my 2006 monthly topics, as I cram them in one last time for review before the year ends. I'm not going to be slavish about this, though. My goal was to gain greater fluency in drawing. Part of fluency is ease in connecting separate thoughts or images.
Thus, it goes without saying (and yet I persist in saying it!), a sketch might be three things at once---an interior with still life elements and/or people or animals or... trees.
Food followed interiors in the orginal scheme, so here's a foody sketch and a sketch of a woman in a cafe, an interior with figure and food.
I've been having all kinds of trouble with internet connection but things seem to be relatively OK for now. If you don't see me for a couple of days, have faith---I'll be back, come what may!
These radishes are just too good to be true!

Radishes are wonderful! Love the simple sumptiousness of this painting. Is that an oxymoron? Oh well, you know what I mean I hope. :o)

I love your painting of the radishes. They look very Christmas-like.

The radishes are great! Have you seen Carol Marin's foreshortened perspective on a radish?

Thank you so much, one and all! It's funny how people love radish sketches! I posted one here last year and it got so many comments! We're still having intermittent internet service, so I'm rushing to reply to you before the sword of Cybercles falls on my head once again. Patry and Martha, welcome and thank you! Marly, I wish the Daybreak Radish had come yesterday morning--it was cold here and I could have used some of its warmth! PB, welcome back, stranger! Tara, the paper would be indigestible, je crois ;D. Lori, you sweet. All of you...very sweet and I thank you lots.
