As it happened, I was too busy wielding either a trowel or a whisk to get much sketching done this weekend, but last Thursday, Ippy and I drew lovely Rachel. Here are two of my drawings and three of Ippy's.
As often as I've observed this phenomenon, I still love to see the differences in working artists' styles, especially when I'm one of them (she said, egocentrically!)
Thank you very much, you all. We had lots of fun drawing Rachel and you can see why. Those eyes, that profile, that shape! Lots of drama going on!

As different as your styles are, you've both managed to capture something very individual in your model. I think I could recognize her from these drawings.

It IS fun to see the contrast in styles--both lovely, I might add!

Robyn is right; Ippy's style reminded me of Matisse too. I love the economy of your drawings. Just enough detail, not too much; not too little. Kind of like the Goldilocks of drawing. :)
