This has been a very important weekend, with thoughts of cherished friends in various difficulties, of huge impending changes in the life of my family, and of getting focused about various art projects. So much to think about.
At Foster's cafe, I sketched a woman grading, and a man writing, papers. Of the grading and writing of papers in a college town like mine, there is no end.
Turning back to my 101 Faces project, I made a two minute sketch of J, the girlfriend of Ippy's son, yesterday. J is quite beautiful, much more so than this sketch shows. She was drawing Ippy, who was drawing her, at the time.
Adding another face to the group, I used the features of the daughter of another friend in a colored pencil and graphite drawing. This is NOT a portrait--- it doesn't begin to capture the personality of this adorable and impish little person.
