This time last week it was icy and gray. Today it is warm and blue. Such is life in March. I felt the sea calling me. It called in vain. The nearest body of water is little Bolin Creek, so there I went with pens and paint to study the movement of water.
On Friday, I sketched my friend Crystal cutting hair. Please go to Urban Sketchers and see---and, if the spirit moves you, leave a comment. It couldn't hurt ;D.
Just to think you're probably somewhere over-populated like Bolinwood with car noises all around, and you make water and stone looks so dashing and forest-deep.

Thanks so much, everyone! I wanted to go back this past weekend and do some more studies, but the rain, rain, rain prevented me.

I've found it very difficult to paint creeks. You make it look easy!

Beautiful work. I cannot get enough of your face sketches. I thread paint my pretty ladies with my sewing machine but wish I could use pencil, ink and paint with the ease that you do.
