Grace Bonney, of Design*Sponge fame and daughter of my good friend photographer Chris Bonney, was married in Savannah this past weekend! It was a glorious day and as beautiful an occasion as you'd imagine that Grace's wedding WOULD be. I was so fortunate to be there and to make some sketches, which I will give to Grace and Aaron for a wedding present! I have lots of them and will share them as soon as I add watercolor washes.
Gorgeous! You have captured Savannah in all its glory. Well done, you! Hope you had fun. And wish you could have stayed for another week for Jordana's wedding. (Photos taken by the nervous mother-of-the-bride are now up). :) xoxox

A wedding present to treasure - this is so lovely, and somehow has a wedding feel - perhaps from all the white and 'lacy' bits. Looking forward to the others.

Wow, I love this one. Striking composition, terrific fifties-ish palette (gotta love that teal), and a lovely smeary Chinese watercolor effect with those swaths of dilute gray. Can't wait for the next!

This is a gorgeous sketch of the fountain. The little swirls and squiggles make it absolutely sing!
