This is my mother sleeping.
The days draw in. Weeks, perhaps months.
We talk. I read to her. She sleeps.
My husband and I will spend Thanksgiving and the weekend with her. I hope to make more drawings of her then---awake, this time. She's been a knockout all her life. She still is.
Thank you so much for all of your kind and caring words. They help, they really do.

What a gift you're giving each other - time, love, and sketches. Hugs to you, from your too-dang-busy-to-blog friend in Texas...

These sketches are very touching.
I have so much enjoyed following your sketches through Brittany.
I hope you and your family have a lovely Thanksgiving.

Laura,
I am wishing you a peaceful Thanksgiving with your dear Mom. You will always cherish this time with her. Thank you for sharing your sketches of her, too.
