Well, I should have said 'illustrating an illustrated thank-you note,' since I haven't written the text yet. I used to do this quite often, but as time went by and life got more complicated, I stopped doing it so much---as in almost never. Oh, okay, never. But my wonderful friends in Turkey were so generous and fun and absolutely charming to Casey and me, that I had to try to do something special for them. And, yes, it took me a month to get to it, what with that aforementioned complicated life, but there we are.

It's a great idea, and I'm sure people receiving such letters must be so moved! I can understand why you don't do this as often as you used to, it takes a time! I would almost leave the pages as they are, so beautiful they are!! The sketches tell a lot already.
